1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CampusMaterials platform ("Platform"), operated by CampusMaterials ("we", "us", or "our"). By registering an account or using the Platform in any way, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

CampusMaterials is an academic resource-sharing platform designed for students across Africa. We provide tools that allow registered users to upload, discover, download, and discuss academic materials including past examination papers, lecture notes, textbooks, assignments, research papers, and lab manuals.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You may not share your account or transfer it to another person.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at legal@campusmaterials.com of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes any copyright, patent, trademark, or trade secret.
• Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Use the Platform for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest user data without permission.
• Upload content that is obscene, defamatory, or violates applicable law.

5. Content Ownership & Licence

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant CampusMaterials a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence.

6. Takedown & Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, our Copyright Policy, or applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe on the rights of others or violate these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampusMaterials shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users via email or a platform notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
